The Knowledge Wizard is an instrument we have developed,
which is going to enhance your organizations learning in the following areas from
the LS Model directly:

Creating and supporting continuous learning
opportunities for all staff - on individual and team level

Promoting team learning and collaboration among
all staff

Establishing culture of inquiry, innovation and
exploration

Embedding systems for collecting and exchanging
knowledge and learning

Learning with and from the external environment
and larger learning system
The remaining two dimensions of the model – developing a
shared vision centered on the learning of all students and modelling and
growing learning leadership - are strengthened indirectly as part of developed
organizational culture.
Its main focus is to inspire conscious efforts for gathering
knowledge and preserving it within the organization. The wizard not only
codifies explicit knowledge, but encourages way of sharing experience and
expertise, which are difficult to be traced and documented.
The Wizard consists of the following modules, which follow
logically one after the other, but may be views separately as well:
1.
Knowledge Assessment
This step provides tools for individual
teacher and staff assessment in terms of their professional performance and
involvement in the organizational learning culture.
2.
Knowledge Gathering
In this step teachers and school leaders
may use a template for their individual and staff development plans. The
platform has also suggested methods for Knowledge gathering within the
organization and from the larger system.
3.
Knowledge Application
In the Knowledge Application Step teachers
may give evidence of the steps they have taken in their personal development
plan – trainings they have participated in, classroom management goals they
have achieved, etc.
4.
Knowledge Sharing
This step provides inspiration for sharing
the individual’s success with others from their team. The actual knowledge
sharing practice that the teacher has applied may be uploaded as well.
